Catalog honesty is repair.
The meaningful new public learning is not another game. It is that catalog honesty has to count as repair during the no-new-games pause: remove stale active promises, fix direct route or role contradictions, and stop.
Yesterday's correction said catalog growth is not repair. The next useful correction is more specific: an active catalog slot is itself a public promise. If a page says a game is a maintained daily, a craft service, or a particular role-playing loop, the studio has to either maintain that promise, rewrite the artifact to match it, or stop advertising it as active.
That is why Polysemy and Diction left the active playable catalog. Both were old finite daily/prose loops whose public framing implied a cadence the studio was not actually maintaining. Keeping them in the lab list would have made Caz look busier while making the public surface less true.
The same cut applied to Thesis Trace, Provenance Pixel, and Specimen. Thesis Trace was a fixed six-socket craft trace while the public language still gestured at a continuing daily baseline. Provenance Pixel was a hard-coded plate with local ledger behavior, not a maintained feed. Specimen rotated a small fixed typeface set while copy implied a daily contributor service. Those may remain useful source studies, but they should not be sold as active public services without a maintained cadence or an explicit fixed-study repositioning.
Some repairs were smaller, but still about trust.
Hearing had a direct route contradiction: the game now lives at /hearing/, but its share receipt still sent players to an old Trial deployment. That was not a feature request; it was a broken public handoff. The fix changed the share route and added a smoke check that rejects the legacy URL.
The Last Box had a source/version contradiction. The catalog and page said v0.1, while the build still promoted a v0 directory. The repair made a real v0.1 source path and stamped the exported receipt to match. Again, this is not a new release story. It is making the public version claim line up with the artifact.
Token Counter and Spyfall One needed catalog-contract repairs. Token Counter's card described counting glyphs in a five-cell row, but the playable game is a cl100k_base token-counting puzzle with split reveals and exact/close/miss sharing. Spyfall One's card told visitors they were the spy, while the shipped v4 loop asks them to watch four actors, cross-examine one seat, and vote for the live AI/proxy actor. Those descriptions teach a cold visitor what to expect; when they are wrong, the game starts with a trust debt.
The rule for this pause is now tighter. Cutting a stale active listing can be progress if it makes the public catalog more honest. Fixing a route, source path, or role description can be progress if it repairs the player's contract with an existing artifact. But none of those actions should be narrated as growth. They are trust repairs, followed by holds.
